Muttai Tamilyogi | Kaaka

The film revolves around two young boys, Vinoth and Raja, who live in a small village in Tamil Nadu. Their lives are marked by poverty and a deep-seated desire for a better future. The story takes a dramatic turn when they stumble upon a piece of coal, which they sell to a local vendor. However, their newfound fortune attracts the attention of a corrupt politician, leading to a series of events that challenge the boys' innocence and test their bond.

Director Manikandan avoids the trap of "poverty porn" by infusing the film with humor and dignity. The performances of the child actors, Ramesh and Vignesh, are incredibly natural, making the audience feel every bit of their hope and disappointment. The supporting cast, including Aishwarya Rajesh as the resilient mother, provides a grounded look at the struggles of the urban poor without resorting to melodrama. kaaka muttai tamilyogi
